I find myself inspired by the creations of those around me (in life and online) and have decided to start this blog in an attempt to channel this rediculous creative itch that I have.

I need house elves!
To pack up all of my stuff and have it ready for the movers who are coming on Wednesday while I study for midterms that are Monday and Tuesday. If anyone knows where I can find some, please let me know. Thanks.

I've set a date!
For moving that is :) February 24th Molly McGee and I are moving into the new house. Midterms will be over and I'll have a few days to focus on setting up house.
I cannot wait to paint and put everything in its place. And if this weather would ever break... start planting! I'm dreaming of fresh veggies straight from the garden all summer long... :)

Thank goodness that's over.
I hate Valentine's Day. There, I said it. I hate Valentine's Day. I have hated Valentine's day since middle school. It always goes all wrong in a way that ranges from making you roll your eyes and hunch your shoulders to crawling in bed with a box of tissues for the next month. And... if I'm in a relationship, its guaranteed to end. And its usually me. I'm usually just over it. Its not working. I saw the signs back around the holidays and am just now realizing. Here we are again. Ugh. Thank goodness the holiday is over. Now I just have to deal with the heartbreaking.

Officially a Homeowner!!
Whew. It's been a long process, a lot of heartbreak, and some good lessons learned, but finally I have a house. In my name. All by myself. I've signed on the dotted line and the keys are in my hand. Molly McGee and I are moving! And the funny thing was, this was a house I had been telling my realtor I didn't want to look at for weeks but when I walked through the door it was just perfectly nice. And perfectly me. Right from the beginning. And now its mine.

Woohoo! Present for me
You know how I mentioned that my point and shoot was jammed at half mast? Well, I took it to Best Buy the other day to see if they could fix it. It turns out that the fix costs nearly as much as a new camera. And sooo.....
This arrived in the mail on Monday! Okay, first I'm going to say that the new body style looks cheap. And the view screen on the back is smaller than my SD750. I'm hoping the 10MP more than makes up for it. But... I have loved my Canons and I love that they all share the same cables. This is why I stuck with Canon. Pleeeeeeaase don't disappoint. (It had rave reviews.)

In search of snow crabs
When I mentioned in the previous post that Molly checks every hole in the snow, I meant EVERY hole. 45 minute, pre-dawn, shivering cold walk. She checked a few twice. No crabs for breakfast. Poor dog.

So we've gotten a little snow
I grew up in Northern Pennsylvania where the snow needed to fall faster than they could plow the roads for school to get cancelled. A little ice with it really helped. Apparently this is not the case in Hampton Roads, VA. Six inches of snow that stopped falling on Saturday still had the city shut down on Monday. They've even cancelled snow for tomorrow. I'm in a little bit of shock.
Molly was a little apprehensive about the snow at first but after a minute decided it was safe. She had a blast tunneling and rolling in it when it was coming down. Now that its a little frozen on top she's been sniffing every hole like she does on the beach when she's looking for sand crabs. Poor girl... no breakfast hiding in those holes. Doesn't stop her from checking every one of them though.
