Such a pest...

Poor Molly, I don't think Rex's cuteness makes up for his relentless tormenting...

Well, maybe not quite relentless...

T-Rex

Our newest monster has been making himself right at home...

When we first brought him home, he was small enough to "tunnel" through the grass in the back yard.  He was loving every minute of it.

It took him a little while to get up the nerve to play with Miss Molly, but once he started, he hasn't stopped yet!  He torments her constantly now.

That is until he runs out of steam...

Our Newest Monster

Meet Rex!

He's a Baldwin Feist out of a litter my dad raised.  Isn't he precious?!

Since my dad is the breeder, he let us have him at 6-weeks rather than waiting the usual 8.  This was good because otherwise, we would have waited to get him until nearly labor day when he would be almost two and a half months.

Chris is over-the-moon excited about his new little man.  I'm thrilled as well but I'll be even more in love with him after the puppy phase is over.  He's pretty darn cute, but Miss Molly McGee was a horrifyingly bad puppy and I swore I'd never get another one this young.  I'm hoping Rex is much better than she ever was...

Here's Molly McGee with her latest lovey. She has licked the ears and tail off it and still continues the love.

Monster Monday

Snoop-a-Loop!

The puppy the bf and I gave his mother for Christmas, Snoopy, loves him a nylabone. He is getting soooooo big! He is definitely going to be on the larger end of the Yorkie breed.

His ears are starting to stand up now, which makes him twice as cute and look twice as curious.

This is the site I stumbled upon while I was cleaning the other day...

She'll find a way to watch for squirrels out of every window in the house!

Monster Monday

Miss Molly McGee has finally figured out that she can get up on my bed if she takes a running leap. This is now her new favorite place to take a nap...

Monster Monday

Here's a few more Snoopy pics from when he was in our care...

He was so much fun to have around for the two weeks prior to Christmas. I know Chris is going to miss having him around. I'll be honest, I'm not ready for full-time puppy. I love the little monster but I'll stick with my full grown fur-babies. Chewing. Potty-training. Entertaining. Its exhausting. (Which may explain why I have fur-babies and am in no real hurry for real babies)

Monster Monday

Snoopy just loved hanging out under the tree....

I don't know what it is but Miss Molly McGee loves her a Christmas tree to lay under as well.

Monster Monday

Snoopy's first bath!

Poor little guy. He's been receiving frequent baths since this first one. When we picked him up we found out that he had been fed Beneful puppy food.

(Sidenote: I'm sure there are all sorts of opinions out there about this brand of food. Whatever works for you and your dog is great. Personally, I had bad experiences with Molly McGee when she was eating this brand of dog food. It completely altered her personality, making her angry and agressive. Once she was off it, she went right back to normal. This has happened twice. The first time I chocked it up to a living situation that was out of our control. The second time, I knew it was the food. I'll never give it to another animal in my care.)

Anyways... whether it was due to the food or a reaction to something else, Snoopy had really scaly, scabby, dry, flaky skin. We immediately switched him to a puppy chow that did not contain corn as the main ingredient and after a little internet research discovered that frequent bathing would help clear up any other issue that may have caused the skin condition. I'm happy to report that this must have been the right course of action because he is on the mend! (Otherwise it would have been off to the vet for him)

Monster Monday

Please allow me to introduce...

Snoopy!

We picked up this little bundle of trouble in Lynchburg, Virginia, yesterday. He's a Christmas gift for the bf's mom but for the next two weeks he'll be living with the bf.

He's a cutie pie but this morning when he started chewing on the toe of my favorite kitten heels I was glad I got to say goodbye and head back to my house with Miss Molly McGee. I've forgotten what a handful little puppies can be...

Monster Monday

Molly McGee half-way through a haircut at Chez Christopher's Doggie Boutique.

This is the third time we've shaved her and she's finally gotten used to the process. She may not like it but you can tell she feels better after its done.

Monster Monday

Sleepy kitty.

Now that I have to keep my blinds closed thanks to nosey neighborhood kids peeking in my back windows the sunniest place in my house is the corner of the foot of my bed. Dex rarely vacates this spot.

He loves him a momma-made quilt too.

(Oh yes, they are my fur-babies, that makes me momma. I embrace the cat-lady connotation.)
